Introduction to Art Clay Silver or PMC

This introductory class will cover the basics of using Art Clay Silver or PMC to create your own unique and beautiful jewelry in hours. Silver clay is 99.9% fine silver with a non-toxic binder and water. It can be shaped, carved, stamped, draped and embellished with other design elements. Once the clay is formed, it is kiln or torch-fired. The binder and water burn away and you are left with a beautiful piece of fine silver jewelry. The instructor will discuss the silver clay medium, demonstrate many techniques and prepare students for more advanced silver clay classes. Students will create two to three pieces of jewelry to take or proudly wear home.
